Inulin is a prebiotic, natural and slightly sweet tasting fiber from the chicory root,
which can serve as a source of food for the beneficial intestines. In contrast to starch, inulin is one of the fibers that are not broken down in the small intestine because humans lack the corresponding enzymes. It can therefore reach the colon almost unchanged.

The mixture of inulin and apple fibers is suitable as a drink or additive to fruit juices, but is also ideal for baking and can be added to about 10% of a flour.
